You will get to interact with him in Act 2 and decide if you should kill or spare him. Although Chop himself wants to die, you can still decide what you want to do in this situation. Remember, your decision may alter the story thereafter, so you must make the best choice. To help you with that, we have created this guide. It will help you figure out if you should spare or kill Chop in BG3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Should you Spare or Kill Chop in BG3?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While talking to Chop, you will realize that he is being mind-controlled by someone unknown, probably the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gamertweak.com\/what-is-absolute-bg3\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"253931\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Absolute.<\/a><\/strong> Because of that, he is made to do horrendous stuff like butchering people and converting them into Intellect Devourers, the crawling brains. This means you are setting him free of his guilt and inner pain. However, doing so will make all the nearby Intellect Devourers hostile towards you. If you choose to spare him, Chop will continue to do his task (forcefully). Which means he will forever be in guilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One more thing, if you have saved &#8220;<strong>Us<\/strong>&#8220;, the Intellect Devourer in Act 1 in Nautiloid Ship then you will find him here again. Chop has locked Us inside a cage. If you free this Intellect Devourer, then you will get a &#8220;<strong>Conjure US<\/strong>&#8221; spell. You can use it in future battles to summon and use it as a temporary companion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just to let you know that you will need a Key to unlock the cage and free Us. The key is with Chop and you can pass a Persuasion Check to get it. Otherwise, you can also Kill him to get it. In the end, the decision is yours to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s all that can happen if you choose to spare or kill Chop in Baldur&#8217;s Gate 3.
